Characters, Colleges, Money and more

In this update:

  1. Our characters have just posted some more discussions in the forum and some more blogs on their profiles. Check them out and feel free to comment.
  2. The next submission deadline for the Character Consultant Initiative is tomorrow (Sunday) at 6pm PST. Then voting will be open for a week, followed by the selection of more consultants for more characters.
  3. Kevin's class now has four students, but is still waiting for ten. We're no longer necessarily going to hold the class on Sunday evenings, but rather on whichever day of the week is most convenient for the most people. Also, remember that the first two classes are free, and flexible payment plans are available.
  4. The deadline for initial submissions for the Musician's Initiative will be pushed back. Stay tuned for a separate update about the new deadline. We're working on making it easier for more musicians to participate, creating more incentive for them to participate, and getting the word out to more musicians.
  5. We need help spreading the word on college campuses. This includes contacting professors in English, Theater, and Film/TV departments, and asking them to tell their students about all of the opportunities we have available for them; contacting college newspapers and radio stations and asking if they'd be interested in doing stories about us; and getting the word out to the student bodies, in general, since they will be our primary audience base. There are many ways to go about doing this. Contact us if you need some ideas about how you can help in this area.
  6. We're attempting to raise more money so that once we're up and running, we have a better chance to stay up and running.

Have a great week!

Sunday, August 23 @ 9:01pm PST

We're rewriting, budgeting and starting to put together schedules! Plus a few other odds and ends.

In this update:

  1. We've spent most of the last week doing rewrites to the scripts, plus putting together budgets and schedules for the investor groups we're dealing with. Exciting but very time-consuming stuff!
  2. Please spread the word about the Musician's Initiative. It's a great chance for them to get more exposure. We're considering pushing the deadline for the initial submissions. Stay tuned for more updates.
  3. Our characters are starting to have voices! Our Character Consultants have started to post discussion threads and blogs for our characters. Discussion threads are posted in the Forum; blogs are posted on the characters' profiles. Feel free to get in on the fun by posting comments!
  4. Eugene could use some help with the website. If you've got programming knowledge, and are willing and able to assist him, please contact him through the site, or via email at eteplitsky@lombardistreet.com.

Have a great week!

B-Boy Battles: GOTHAM CITY.

Reposted from here.

*****

Being a part of the "YouTube Generation" like Michael Jackson and the Pepsi Generation before us, we all are rabid fans of over-the-top craziness to come from the deep realms of the internet, and one day, we (and over 1 million viewers) just so stumbled upon the greatest thing to surface.

What I have so graciously dubbed as the "Gotham City B-Boys" is one of the most… Continue

"...the times and travels of an american bluesman."

SOUL-PATROL.com PRESS RELEASE :

"As you all know, in my humble opinion, Billy Jones is one of the most compelling
artists around on today's Black music scene.

For his latest album, he has put together a collection of his best songs
on a single album called "The Billy Jones Story." This is something that
I wish more artists should do with some of the outstanding music they
have released and I am glad to see that Billy has taken that step. Look
for 5 or 6 of these songs to make appeara
